There are a couple of new marks I’ve highlighted in yellow that are of particular concern. The numbers for the week: 568 newly registered marks, 375 cancellations, and 23 abandoned applications in class 025!
Note: The marks in part 1 are now fully registered and active! These lists are compiled from the Trademark Official Gazette, which publishes lists of the newest registered marks every week. (Some of these are legitimate brand names! I’ve included them on this list because those brand names are also words or phrases that may be used on the goods in question by crafters and makers.)
PART 1: NEW REGISTRATIONS (PRINCIPAL REGISTER)
AL B. SURE! – Now that name is a blast from the past! Here’s “Nite and Day” from 1988.
ALWAYS HOOD
BABY LLAMA – Get ready for a bucket load of llama marks this week, all with the same owner.
BUBBLE BABE
BUILT FOR THE WATER
DRINKING ALCOHOL AND SAYING BAD WORDS – I’ll skip the booze, but I’ll double down on the swearing.
FAN OF THE TEAM – The most generic sports fan slogan ever.
FIDDLE AROUND FIND OUT – Well, that’s one definition of FAFO!
FLAWLESSLY FLAWLESS
GIRLS LIKE US – Girls like us call grown women “women” instead of “girls”!
GOLF IS NOT A CLUB
GRANDMAMA LLAMA – Lots of llama relatives, but I don’t think she went for “mama llama”.
GRANDPAPA LLAMA – Come on, this doesn’t even rhyme like “grandmama” does.
I HOPE PEOPLE SHOW UP
I’M A RESCUE – Feels like it should be pet clothes, but no, it’s for people.
IT’S A GREAT DAY TO SAVE LIVES
JUST ALWAYS HUMBLE – All women should stop using “just” as a qualifier of what they’re saying.
KIDDO BOY
LOVE SOMEBODY – Here’s Rick Springfield’s “Love Somebody” from the wonderfully terrible 1984 movie Hard to Hold.
LOVE THY TURTLE – I hope the turtle in question is Great A’Tuin. IYKYK.
MY PEACE IS UNAVAILABLE
NO DRAMA LLAMA – You ever feel like the people who claim to be “no drama” are often <i>soaked</i> with drama?
NO-PROB LLAMA [sic] – I’m calling [sic] because it should be “no prob-llama”.
PAPA LLAMA – I think this is the last one. I HOPE this is the last one.
PEACE LOVE AUTISM – Feels like I’ve seen this on a thousand cut files and sublimation designs.
POOR KID
RIGHTEOUS HUSTLE – I don’t care what kind of hustle it is, hustle sucks.
SAD DAD
SALIVA – Mmm, yes, a clothing brand named after spit.
SAUCY QUEEN
SEMI-ROTTED – Not sure what category on the spreadsheet this weirdo mark should go in.
SLUT LIFE
STAY GRITTY – I shall! Plump, orange, hairy, and googly-eyed.
TAKE ME SOMEWHERE FUN, OKAY?
TATE – Sorry, everyone named Tate. The gallery owns you.
THE PLANT DADDIES
WILD COAST
YES GOD
PART 1-B: NEW REGISTRATIONS (SUPPLEMENTAL REGISTER)
Only 9 total, none of which seem important to crafters & makers!
PART 1-C: OLDER REGISTERED MARKS I DISCOVERED THIS WEEK
PART 1-D: MY FAVORITE ILLUSTRATED MARK OF THE WEEK
Today I’m going with this happy little pile of poop, mainly because of the design search codes. The USPTO clearly never expected a mark to include an illustration of literal shit, so they’ve chosen to go with code 01.15.25: “Coal; Dust; Light rays; Liquids, spilling; Pouring liquids; Sand; Spilling liquids.”

PART 2: CANCELLED MARKS
(Standard disclaimer: Always double-check these words and phrases before using them in your designs, to make sure there isn’t a separate registration that is still live and active. Some marks have multiple registrations!)

PART 3: ABANDONED APPLICATIONS! 🎉
Here are the applications that were abandoned this week in class 025, with mark drawing code 4. The most likely cause was the applicant not submitting corrected, updated, or informative material by the USPTO’s deadline. Ding, dong, these witches are dead! 🪦

[sic] = The mark contains a spelling, spacing, grammar, or punctuation error which does not appear to be wordplay. The error is left as-is.
[removed from spreadsheet] = The cancelled item had been on my spreadsheet of marks, and has now been removed.

As always, the new marks have been added to my ginormous spreadsheet; please check it out for a shockingly large list of registered trademarks!
